Abstrakt
Distinctive trails in sand made by jelly fish carried on an incoming tide have been observed in a shallow estuary. Traces of the trails were obliterated within four hours by the ebb tide. Preservation of such trails in the fossil record would require special conditions and occurrences will be rare.
