Abstrakt
“Biohistoric revolutions” (e.g. at the beginning and the end of the Mesozoic) typically comprise threecomponents: 1) the triggerin, event (bolide impact, etc.), 2) mass extinction affecting whole groups of organisms and 3) evolutionary radiation replenishing the ecological bag. An additional factor is less familiar: 4) raised sensibility of the ecosystem due to a period of equitable climate, in which adaptational transformation could proceed beyond the limits of standard bauplans (golden-age effect). The Cambrian Revolution fits these criteria.
