Abstrakt
Some core samples from the Middle Ordovicien D. multidens and/or the N. gracilis Zones of the New Associated Consolidated Paper Anticosti no 1 borehole yield well-preserved assemblages of Chitinozoa.
The microfauna of this interval is distinctive from those previously described from the same well. It is characterized by Conochitina robusta, C. hirsuta, Cyathochitina cf. C. jenkinsi and Desmochitina minor.
A new species, Calpichitina megastrophica, is described. Although this microfauna seems original, it suggests a comparison to be made with assemblages from the Caradoc of Europe, especially with those from the upper part of the Dalby Formation and the Sularp Shales of Sweden.
