Abstrakt
Recently a biostratigraphical study was carried out on Upper Silurian chitinozoan assemblages from Libya. Among the abundant material recorded, five new species were identified: Calpichitina (Densichitina) corinnae, Calpichitina (Calpichitina) horrentis, Sphaerochitina patula, Ancyrochitina floris and Ancyrochitina libyensis. The aim of this paper is to describe and to illustrate these new taxa which are restricted to the Pridoli. The systematic study is completed by a computer-based biometric method developed by the author.
