Sommerochitina langei, um novo fóssil guia do Devoniano superior da bacia do Parnaíba

Description of a new genus and species of Chitinozoan Sommerochitina langei found in bore samples of wells executed by PETROBRAS at Parnaíba Basin, that by its very peculiar features and short geochronological distribution promises to be excellent index fossil for the Upper Devonian of these basin.
