Chitinozoan Preservation and Microbiota of the Silurian Quidong Formation, New South Wales, Australia.

The preserved form of chitinozoa in rocks partly depends on the effects of pressure and temperature on the organic material. Upper Silurian palynomorphs from the Quidong Formation show many of the characteristics of damaged, yet identifiable chitinozoa and sphaeromorph acritarchs.
