A report on Silurian and lowermost Devonian chitinozoans from South-western Sardinia

Nineteen chitinozoan species were identified in several isolated blocks of micritic limestones from South-western Sardinia. Ludlow, Pridoli and lowermost Devonian (Lochkovian) chitinozoan assemblages were distinguished. The tentative chitinozoan stratigraphy of individual blocks is proposed. It supports the previous stratigraphic data based on brachiopods from the same blocks.
