Downhole logging in three boreholes at the west coast of Saaremaa island

Geological Survey of Estonia (GSE) was contracted by Engineering Bureau STEIGER to perform the down-hole logging in three boreholes at the island of Saaremaa. The borehole details and locations are pre-sented on each figure listed in the appendix 1. The logging operations fieldwork was done at Saaremaa, starting from 15th of March until 16th of March. Fieldworks were carried out by GSE workers Siim Tarros, Maile Polikarpus and Tavo Ani. The equipment used for downhole logging is produced by Robertson Geo Ltd (RG). Downhole logging was made in three boreholes drilled by Engineering Bureau STEIGER with triple barrel diamond coring (PQ diameter). De-tailed information about logging dates, depths and methods are presented in Table 1. The geophysical downhole logging measurement methods include: • 3-arm caliper (CALP) • Natural gamma (NGAM) • Full-waveform triple sonic (Sonic) • High resolution optical televiewer (OPTV)
