Fasciculus rogus nov. isp., an endolithic trace fossil

A comparison of Silurian and Permo/Triassic samples showed similarities that prompted the description of a new Fasciculus ichnospecies. As a result, some samples previously published under the name of other Fasciculus ichnospecies had to be revised. Results of the analysis reveal that the stratigraphical range of Fasciculus rogus spans from the Silurian to the Jurassic.
