Trace fossils of the Upper Vendian and lowermost Cambrian in southern Poland

The diversification of trace fossils assemblages gives further support to the position of the Vendian/Cambrain boundary as delineated by Kowalski [12]. Some of the recorded ichnotaxa make possible dating of individual lithostratigraphic units. The available material indicates shallow-water character of marine sedimentary basin in the earliest Cambrian, as well as low agitation of waters.
