Bryozoa from Baltoscania

Toom, U.

Abstract

Bryozoa (commonly as moss animals) is one of the most common fossil group in the Lower Paleozoic. Representatives of the group with mineral skeletons appeared in the Lower Ordovician, and are still very common animals today. About 15,000 fossil species is known. In the Baltics, bryozoans have been the subject of research almost two hundred years. The reference collection includes scientific literature from the first works to the present day.
