Abstract
The morphology and ontogeny of Coelostylis toernquisti (Lindström 1873) are described on the basis of material from the Middle Ordovician (Viruan) Macrourus Beds of Sweden. The generic characters of the genus Coelostylis Lindström 1880 and the taxonomic position of this genus are discussed.
