Abstract
The purpose of this research was to evaluate the effect of mixing limestone fine grade aggregates with sand in order to use the mixture in road construction. The results showed that untreated fine grade aggregates can only be used in the bottom layer of a road starting from 1 meter of depth and they must be mixed with coarse sand in relation no more than 1:3 (25%). The fine grades tend to disintegrate under dynamic load or excessive moisture. Hence, laboratory test may give higher readings on a filtration test.
