Abstract

Eight species of nautiloid cephalopods assignable to the families Ascoceratidae, Lituitidae, and Apsidoceratidae are reported from the Upper Ordovician (Harjuan) Boda Limestone, which occurs in the Siljan District of the Province of Dalarna, Sweden. Six of these species appear to be restricted to the Boda Limestone, but two others are apparently represented in the Upper Ordovician rocks of Norway as well. The holotype of Schuchertoceras troedssoni (Foerste) is described in detail for the first time. One new genus, Bodoceras, and seven new species are described. The new species include Schuchertoceras bodense, Tyrioceras warburgae, Charactoceras triangulum, C. suecicum, C. raettvikense, and Bodoceras torticoni.
