Abstract
Isolated material of the biostratigrapically important graptolite ‘Monograptus’ gemmatus is described from Osmundsberget, Sweden. The metathecal morphology is a simple hook, formed almost exclusively by the dorsal wall. The thecal aperture faces ventrally and proximally and is flanked by a pair of lappets. The distribution of ‘M.’ gemmatus suggests that it was restricted to areas south of the Llandovery equator.
