Lower Cambrian trilobites from the Laisvall area, northern Sweden

A Lower Cambrian trilobite fauna at Delliknäs in the Laisvall area, northern Swedish Caledonides, is documented. Species of the orders Olenellida and Ptychopariida are recognized, and occur in strata that are correlated with the Holmia kjerulfi-group Zone. Associated faunal elements include brachiopods and hyoliths. The Lower Cambrian fauna at Assjatj (Aistjakk) in the Laisvall area is commented upon and assigned to the Holmia kjerulfi-group Zone. The autochthonous Upper Proterozoic-Lower Cambrian sequence in the Laisvall area is briefly described. Holmia? sp. and Kjerulfia? palpebra n. sp. are described.
