Distribution of Silurian palynomorphs from Wales and the Welsh Borderland

The geographical distribution of acritarchs, chitinozoa, foraminifera, chitinous hydroids, melanosclerites, miospores, scolecodonts and other palynomorphs from the Llandovery, Wenlock and Ludlow of the Welsh Basin and western London Platform shows a marked variation in abundance and distribution of different microfossil groups. The acritarchs are very abundant and widespread, the scolecodonts and chitinozoa common and fairly widespread, with the other palynomorphs less commonly recorded.
