Abstract

The aim of the present Master`s Degree work is to define the long life stability of mining blocks for AS Eesti Põlevkivi mines of roof-to-floor convergence, to define the time and place of collapse. The problem is important from the point of view of ecology and preservation of plough lands as well. The results were obtained in the course of mining blocks analyses. The peculiarity of the method used is its consideration of all geological conditions in the field of a measure station, which does not necessitate additional investigations. This method is adequate for long life forecast andcalculation results do not exceed 10 percent at the precision of 20 percent. The method can be also used for forecasting in subterraneous constructions similar conditions. The principle may be applied to stability calculations of underground constructions.
