Abstract
Thirty-two species of Ostracoda, 15 of them new, including three new genera, are described from the early Middle Ordovician of the eastern United States. Two ostracode zones are represented, and a biofacies containing northern European genera is present in the Champlain Valley area. Intermingling of the Champlain Valley assemblage with that of the central Appalachian area occurred only to a limited degree.
