Abstract

The skeletal apparatuses of seven species of conodonts are described from the St. Clair Limestone of southern Illinois. New taxa include Dapsilodus and Walliserodus sancticlairi. This study suggests that the lower part of the St. Clair correlates with the amorphognathoides Zone of Walliser (1964). The upper part of the section does not contain diagnostic conodonts.
