Abstract

New chondrichthyan assemblages are described from the Frasnian (Upper Devonian)-Bashkirian (Carboniferous) of Belarus. Chondrichthyan remains are found for the first time in the Upper Frasnian Voronezhian Regional Stage; the Famennian Tonezhian, Tremlian, Turovian and Kalinovichian Regional Stages; the Viséan Mikhailovian Regional Stage; the Serpukhovian Sozhian and Yastrebkian Regional Stages; the Bashkirian Pripyatian Regional Stage. The most taxonomically diverse assemblages are recorded in the Famennian Petrikovian, Tournaisian Cherepetian, Serpukhovian Sozhian and Bashkirian Pripyatian Regional Stages. Ten chondrichthyan taxa have been never found earlier on the territory of Belarus.
