Abstract

Seventy-five acritarch species are recorded from the Monograptus sedgwickii Zone from Hýskov, Prague Basin, Barrandian area, Bohemia. One new genus, Tectisphaeridium n. gen., is described. Seven new species are described: Dictyotidium multisepisnosum, Diexallophasis liber, Multiplicisphaeridium columnaris, Tylotopalla? minima, Tectosphaeridium labyrinthum, Uslbysphaera hyskovense and V. zuarodovae. One new combination, Salopidium parvum n. comb. and n. stat. is proposed.

Four various palynofacies are discerned in volcanic-carbonate sequence at Hýskov. A biostratigraphic correlation with selected Middle Llandovery acritarch assemblages from Europe, North America and Africa is presented. Some aspects of the acritarch preservation and morphology are discussed.
