Acritarches et Chitinozoaires du Tremadoc de l’Anti-Atlas Central (Maroc) [Tremadoc Acritarchs and Chitinozoa from the Middle Anti-Atlas (Morocco)]

Acritarchs and Chitinozoa from the lower part of the Lower Fezouata Formation are described. Six biozones based on the range of selected acritarch index-species are defined in these Tremadocian strata.

Fairly good affinities with contemporaneous acritarch assemblages from England (Shropshire), France, Belgium, and Algerian Sahara are noticed. The biostratigraphical data provided by the Acritarchs are in good agreement with the age assignment of the Lower Fezouata Formation based on macrofossil evidence.
