Abstract
In order to clarify some stratigraphical uncertainties within the Paleozoic succession at Hazro (SE Turkey), a new study of the core of the anticline has been carried out with the help of Turkish Petroleum (T.P.A.O.). Rich associations of Acritarchs, Chitinozoa, Brachiopods, Conodonts, Ostracods, and Foraminifera provide a precise location for the Siluro-Devonian boundary within the Dadaş Formation. After a major stratigraphical break, comes the Hazro Formation, which may now be attributed to the Upper Permian exclusively.
