Abstract

This is the first report of Early Ordovician chitinozoans from sections near Culpina and the Sama Anticline, East Cordillera of southern Bolivia. The chitinozoans constitute a low diversity and moderately preserved peri-Gondwana assemblage consisting of the genera Conochitina and Desmochitina. Stratigraphically, the associations are correlated with graptolites. The faunistic relationships are briefly discussed.
