Abstract
From Upper Ordovician Backsteinkalk and Öjlemyrflint geschiebes asteroid pedicellariae have been discovered. They are the first evidence for the presence of starfishs in both the Ordovician and geschiebes. Similar specimens from the Silurian of Gotland were originally introduced as ostracodes under the generic name Bursulella some 120 years ago by JONES (1887, 1888).
