Abstract
Marie Kettnerová was the first Czech female working in palaeontology. Although she published only six scientific studies due to misfortune, her works are of high quality and feature timeless hand-drawn illustrations and photographs. She focused mainly on Devonian rugose and heliolitid corals and the geological situation in Moravia (eastern part of the Czech Republic), where she came from.
