Abstract

The work of K. Sternberg "Flora der Vorwelt" (1820-1838) contains among the fossil plants also descriptions of trace fossils taken by Sternberg for plant remnants. Trace fossils are represented by numerous finds of Chondrites and by planar spreiten- -structures described as Münsteria. According to the present conception, these spreiten-structures fall to various ichnogenera (mostly to Phycosiphon FISCHER-DOSTER, 1858) and they are more or less different from ichnofossils recently described by numerous authors as Münsteria STERNBERG. The palaeontological collection of K. Sternberg is at researcher's disposal in the National Museum, Prague.
