Abstract
Palynological preparations of field samples of the Dinas Bran Beds from Llangollen yielded diverse assemblages of acritarchs and chitinozoa. Comparison of the assemblages with records from the world stratotype sections in the Wenlock and Ludlow areas of England show the Dinas Bran Beds to be Lower Whitcliffian in age.
