Abstract
An examination of fossil and recent right valves of the infaunal, suspension feeding Corbula gibba (Olivi, 1792) revealed the presence of a slender, subconical, unbranched boring. The boring is interpreted as the work of a commensal organism, possible a parasite. Stratigraphic range is from Eocene to Recent.
